What if?

  • You could see and experience God’s presence and power in your life in a new and fresh way?
  • You could learn to pray through problems and struggles and gain God’s perspective on His will and what He is doing in your life?
  • You could drastically improve your prayer life by learning how to communicate with God and hear from Him consistently?
  • What if???

It’s no surprise…

God is doing great things through 40 Days of Prayer. We want you to see the comments we are getting in the office at West Albemarle. Emails are pouring in. Comments on social media are being posted. We wanted a centralized location to share with you those stories, AND have a place for you to share with us. So, here we are!

Share with us in the comments below.

We would love for you to be honest and bold as you describe the impacts this spiritual growth campaign is having in your life. Tell us about the challenges, and the breakthroughs. Tell us what we can pray for and tell us about the prayers you are praying. Let us know what the Sunday morning gathering times, and your daily reading mean to you. Names don’t have to be shared unless you want them to, and we can’t see who is posting. Be as private or as open as you wish. Let’s see just what God does.

Dear lord, Thank you for this beautiful day. Before I was saved, I thought I was. I was not at peace with myself. I was a total mess. Now I am staying in Your Word and trying to have a better relationship with You. Trying to be a good disciple. I still have much to learn. I am not perfect and I still sin in thought and word everyday not realize it. Please Forgive me. I repent of my sins. Please help me to comphrend Your Word. Please help me ,You know my needs. In Jesus Name, Amen

Thank you for leading West Albemarle in this prayer campaign! The sermons, the videos, the Life Group discussion, the daily prayer journal — these are not magic bullets — but they are scene-setters and prompts that help put me where I need to be — in conversation with my heavenly Father — every day. The model Prayer of Surrender is simple but powerful. When I start my day there and reflect on the passage of Scripture, I feel my heart and mind opening to a deeper understanding of God and, more importantly, a deeper love for Him. Even just a few weeks in, God is answering my prayers for better relationships with those close to me. I am beyond excited to hear what He is doing in all our lives at West. Again, thank you, WABC leaders and dedicated staff members, for your obedience to God and for loving His church like you do.

Would you expect a relationship with a friend to grow, if you never spoke to that person? We all know it wouldn’t. Prayer is our way of communicating and grower closer to the Lord. If we want to grow closer to God, we need to bring our worries, concerns and praises before God. He wants us to be in communication with him, more so than that close friend we talk to on a daily basis. I’ve seen God answer prayers, though they might not have been answered in a way I would have liked. They were answered according to His will. God Bless and always be ready to answer the Lords call.

I especially enjoy the smaller group time in our life groups where we share our more specific prayers with each other. We update each other weekly and it has been a huge encouragement to me. I am praying more confidently and specifically.
Please pray about a situation for me. I have kept the hurts too close to my heart and keep re-hashing them in my head. This study has helped me to let it go and I have been praying that I change my heart towards this person.
I love hearing the prayers from our classmates too and it lifts me up to see that they have also had answered prayers.
